Apple updated Lion to 10.7.2 a few days ago. I updated without any problems. Surprisingly, SleepEnabler didn’t cause any problems. Tweet Read more »
Yesterday Apple released the OS X 10.7.1 update. I updated and the only problem I had was with SleepEnabler, as usual. Before updating, replace the SleepEnabler.kext you are currently using with this one. Tweet Read more »
Before following this guide, you must have a working installation of OS X Snow Leopard on your hackintosh. I installed OS X Lion Developer Preview 4 on my hackintosh a few days ago. It runs well, though it does feel a little slower than Snow Leopard does. Apple released the 10.6.7 update. The first attempt to install it failed, but the second worked for me. When I started it up the first time after the update, it ran kinda slow and software update launched twice for some reason. I rebooted it again and it froze at the login window. Apple released the 10.6.4 update today. Go ahead and update your hackintosh, it went fine for me. Be sure to remove SleepEnabler.kext before installing because you’ll get a kernel panic, and it’ll be a pain to fix. Just thought I would let you all know that I successfully updated the hackintosh to 10.6.3 without much trouble. I was getting a kernel panic at first, but it had something to do with SleepEnabler.kext. Be sure to remove that before you update and you should be good to go.
