Apple released the 10.6.7 update. The first attempt to install it failed, but the second worked for me. Apple released 10.6.6 today, and as usual it’s working fine on my hackintosh aside from SleepEnabler. So far I haven’t had any problems with it, so go ahead and update if you want. Apple released the 10.6.5 update today. As usual, if you have a vanilla system, go ahead and update but replace SleepEnabler with the 10.6.5 version. Apple released the 10.6.4 update today. Go ahead and update your hackintosh, it went fine for me. Be sure to remove SleepEnabler.kext before installing because you’ll get a kernel panic, and it’ll be a pain to fix. Just thought I would let you all know that I successfully updated the hackintosh to 10.6.3 without much trouble. I was getting a kernel panic at first, but it had something to do with SleepEnabler.kext. Be sure to remove that before you update and you should be good to go. I recently bought a used 17″ iMac, 2 GHz, 1GB of RAM, with a 160GB hard drive. Don’t think this is the end of the hackintosh tutorials though, I’ll still do those. I will also post a tutorial on how to upgrade the hard drive and RAM in the iMac later this year. Tweet Read more »
